Riduan Tomkins paintings resist simple categorization. There content and form is at once literal, figurative and abstract. Angels, acrobats, and couples inhabit geometric planes of soft colour and lyrical brushwork. Riduan Tomkins was born in England and has lived and worked as an artist and educator in Canada and New Zealand.
